Surging Demand in Korea: Fast-Charging Subsidies Drive Growth
Korea plans to install 500,000 EV chargers by 2025, including 100,000 new units. The proportion of ultra-fast chargers (350kW class) is rising, supported by government incentives:
KRW 618.7 billion allocated for charging infrastructure (↑43% YoY)
Subsidy for 350kW ultra-fast charger: KRW 82 million (↑30% vs. 2024)
Subsidy for 100kW fast charger: Increased from KRW 20 million to KRW 26 million
